Openmeetings ini saya implementasikan pada Linux Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex 8.10.
Dengan spesifikasi hardisk 80 GB, memori 512 MB, Processor Pentium III, lagi-lagi IP Fastnet, 2 NIC (1 lokal, 1 fastnet), Bandwidth (784 Kbps Downstream, 100 Kbps Upstream).
Saran saya spesifikasi harus lebih maknyuss dari ini soalnya menggunakan java sebagai server side jadi klo spek komputer pas2an sama seperti saya punya kayanya lumayan lemot buat streaming apalagi ada squid yang jalan terus mmmhh.. bisa rasakan deh :D niy demo yang saya buat http://118.137.54.12:5080/openmeetings user=demo pass=demo klo gak percaya..

squid transparent + iptables

case study: Warnet dengan 1 PC yang akan dijadikan Proxy server
-- Linux Ubuntu 8.10 server
-- 2 NIC
    -- ip public (di dapat dari fastnet) => dhcp
    -- ip lokal (untuk client) => 192.168.0.1/24

-- squid 2.6.x
-- iptables (biasanya udah default ada)
squid transparent proxy ini dimaksudkan agar setiap komputer client tidak perlu lagi mengkonfigurasi browsernya yang mengarah ke proxy server untuk mengakses internet.

Setting NIC-NIC yang ada di server:

Instalasi

Hapus file cachenya

tbox@root# cd /var/spool/squid
tbox@root# rm -rf *

Konfigurasi

2. Install apache, php dan mysql

Menginstall Samba

Cek dulu apakah samba telah terinstall

root@kreatif # rpm –qa | grep samba

jika responnya seperti ini :

samba-<disesuaikan dgn versi>
samba-client-<disesuaikan dgn versi>
samba-common-<disesuaikan dgn versi>

jika tidak ada respon maka mari kita menginstall-nya :
file-file yang diperlukan samba dapat di download di sini

root@kreatif # rpm –ivh samba-<disesuaikan dgn versi>.rpm
root@kreatif # rpm –ivh samba-client-<disesuaikan dgn versi>.rpm
root@kreatif # rpm –ivh samba-common-<disesuaikan dgn versi>.rpm

Konfigurasi Samba

Konfigurasi samba yang dimaksud disini adalah smb.conf yang terletak di direktori /etc/samba. Dalam mengkonfigurasi file smb.conf saya menggunakan editor joe (tekan ctrl+KH untuk bantuan pada editor joe).
